IGNOU Academic Records: Documents, Grade Card, Marksheet, Degree & Status
Current guide: IGNOU students should keep a complete record trail from admission through degree completion. This helps resolve missing marks, assignment-status issues, exam-form problems and document-delivery questions.
IGNOUStatus.in is an independent student-help website and is not an official IGNOU website.
Records every IGNOU student should keep
- Admission application and payment acknowledgement.
- Admission confirmation and enrolment number.
- ID card.
- Re-registration receipts.
- Assignment submission proof.
- Exam-form payment/status proof.
- Hall tickets.
- Project/dissertation upload acknowledgement where applicable.
- TEE results and Grade Card screenshots/PDFs.
- Revaluation or answer-script applications, if any.
Grade Card vs result vs marksheet
The TEE result reports examination outcomes, while the Grade Card helps track multiple evaluated components. Final marksheet/provisional certificate/degree documents serve different purposes, so do not treat one screen as a substitute for every academic record.
If a record is missing
First check whether the relevant component has been processed. Keep proof of submission/payment and contact the appropriate Study Centre, Regional Centre or official service if the issue persists.
Degree and convocation records
After programme completion, verify convocation/degree instructions through IGNOU's current degree-management and convocation systems.
